Here at the Papercraft Miracles studio we get a lot of interesting projects coming in the door, but this one was extra special and we can’t wait to tell you all about it!

It all started with a Google search for “Paper Flowers” by someone who works at Twitter.com. They emailed us after looking through our site to ask if we could make some very customized paper flower bouquets for some big time VIP clients…with a very tight turnaround time. Of course we said yes because delivering magic under pressure is my jam!! I knew right away this was going to be a fun job.

We worked with their team to craft the perfect bouquets to send their special customized messages out to their clients. Due to our NDA, we are not allowed to mention what event they were for or who exactly received them, but I’ll just say, you’d recognize these names, for sure! Always being a company that respects the privacy of our clients, we will share all that we are allowed to without revealing any personal info.

We had about five days to create all the flowers for these bouquets before they had to be assembled and shipped out, so we pulled out all the stops! One of our team members was out on quarantine after traveling, so we were down some staff. Luckily, our Head Flower Bitch (her own given title), Becky, came back for the weekend and swooped in to head up our Flower Bootcamp with our new staff member, Ruby. Our designer, Amy, who usually just makes adorable drawings for other projects, agreed to jump in and lend a hand as well and we were off!

Here is a time lapse video of the four of us cutting, curling and assembling 5000 petals into over 170 flowers in just five days!

When you have a ginormously important job to do and only a few days notice...you pull out all the stops...and the timelapse cameras! We constructed over 170 ...

We used some Lia Griffith patterns, a Jessie Chui pattern and several of our original designs to craft these unique and stunning bouquets. We even made little paper Twitter birds, hand painted to match the logo to include in each arrangement. Each arrangement was wrapped in a special burlap bouquet holder to keep the flowers arranged just so during shipping and unpacking.

We also figured out a new way to print directly onto Lia Griffith’s double-sided crepe paper to be able to personalize each bouquet for the recipients. We can’t show you those details for privacy reasons, but, trust me, they were the sweetest little messages to include with each one.

Here are some pictures of process and the finished flowers!
